The Best Giant Chocolate Chip Coookie Recipe In a large bowl mix the flour baking powder and salt together. In another bowl, cream the sugars and butter, then add the eggs one at a time mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract, then gradually stir in the flour mixture until combined. Add the chips and stir again. Preheat oven to 300. Using a 1/3 cup measuring cup, drop the dough onto a baking sheet. Leave about 3 inches between each mound. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until light brown.

I try to avoid GMO foods, so when I make this recipe for my family instead of chocolate chips I use organic chocolate bars and break them up inot big chunks. I have tried dark chocolate coconut bars, mint chocolate bars and milk chocolate bars, and the result on all of these has been fantastic. One thing you can do is let the kids each add in what they like to their own cookie. To do this simply measure out by the 1/3 cup into a bowl, mix in the desired ingredients, and then drop on the baking dish.
These cookies keep well in the freezer and can be used to make giant chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches. Another idea is to insert a popsicle stick into the cookie before baking and make a Cookie Pop.
This recipe can also be used for standard size or mini chocolate chip cookies. They can be dropped molded into 2" rounds and dropped on the cookie sheet. In this case leave about 1/2 in between each cookie.
